SOCARE

Meaning, society's care for Indigent - people who have no place to go. Based in Bangalore, Socare is a registered trust functioning since July 1999.

Started with just 2 kids, Socare today, has 80 children of life term convicts and under trials in the prisons of Karnataka. This is one of its kind in India.

Socare functions in two different units: a girls wing in Rajajinagar and a boys wing in Peenya Laggere, Bangalore.

Socare aims to expand year by year and cover as many families as possible. As a firm commitment to the under priviledged children, education, discipline, vocational training, are the main emphasis, so as to bring about a level playing ground with children from normal backgrounds. Thereby enabling them to lead a decent life in the society and become good citizens of yound India.
